Summary: | 碩士 === 國立屏東科技大學 === 資訊管理系 === 92 === Due to the wide applications of information technology, computer skills become an important skill for knowledge workers in the 21st century. Thus, training of computer skills is considered as an urgent task among the computer training courses. How to find out the critical factors affecting the performance of learning computer skills is a major concern for researchers that are major in computer education. According the research by Bandura that behaviors of learning are strongly affected by the reciprocal determinism between the persons and environment. So, factors affecting the performance of learning computer skills cannot be found out based on a single dimension approach. Therefore, the purposes of this research are to explores and find out the major factors affecting the performance of learning computer skills. In this paper, we proposed an integrated model based on the social cognition theory (SCT) to investigate the factors affecting the performance of learning computer skills. A survey research is conducted by using a questionnaire to collect the data about the learning process of a semester computer course-Excel. The sampling subjects are selected from the students in a class of electronic data process in a private commercial high school in Pingtung city. Findings of this research are summarized as follows: (1)Past experiences and the interaction of classmate has significant differences on the performance of learning computer skills, (2)Interaction between classmates, interaction between students and teachers, ease of use of the textbook have significant correlation with computer self-efficacy, but only ease of use of the textbook has significant difference on the computer self-efficacy, (3)Computer self-efficacy has significant difference on the cognition of learning toward the course, and (4)Computer self-efficacy, interaction between classmates, ease of use of the textbook have significant of learning toward the course. Furthermore, this research also shows that the sample correspondents overly indulges in the activities such as playing computer games, online talk, browsing on the web, and receiving and sending E-mail, etc. It is doubt that the above activities seriously reduce the performance of learning computer skills. Finally, some promising research is pointed out.
