The study site is at the meteorological station of National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, in which one five-opening directional raingauge and one standard raingauge are installed. Then, the differences between both raingauge are compared and analyzed in the hope of truly encouraging the accuracy of the measurements of rainfalls. After data collection and analysis, results are summarized as follows: 1.The rainfall loss rate of increases as the wind speed increases and as the rainfall intensity decreases. 2.The analysis of every 10 minutes records can advise the ralation between rainfall intensity and wind speed during a typhoon. 3.While the rainfall intensity is above 10mm/hr,the rainfall loss rate is about 4%.when the averagewind speed reaches 2m/s. The rainfall loss rate is about 17%,when the average wind speed reaches 10m/s. 4.During the typhoon attacking, the rainfall loss rate is about 19 % when the average wind speed reaches 10m/s. The rainfall loss rate is about 43 % when the average wind speed reaches 18m/s. Hsu, Sen-Hsiung 徐森雄 2004 學位論文 ; thesis 41 zh-TW
