Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東科技大學 === 土木工程系碩士班 === 92 === In July 11 2001, Tanmei typhoon raided Taiwan, caused a lot of flood damages for more than 300 hectares of low-lying lands in Kaohsiung. It not only endangered the public lives and properties but also reflected the importance of flood controlling issues for low-lying lands in the urban areas. To understand the operation situation of drainage systems and to simulate the controlling efficiency after detention pond has been constructed, in the present study, the storm water management model (SWMM) developed by Environment Protection Agency (EPA) of the United States is employed to build a drainage model for Benhe village of Sanmin district including Jinshi lake in Kaohsiung. For different water period including 5, 20, 50,100 and 200 years of design rainfall and actual recorded rainfall are taken as the input conditions, with the planning control process of detention pond, in the numerical simulation model. In each input condition, the results showed that the applied model could efficiently operate with flood controlling process, and the hydraulic calculators of each channel was within a reasonable range. The analyzed results might provide useful information for checking the performance of an engineering project.
