Students do not begin and finish works on their own unless the teacher reminds them again and again. The motive of this study is to design an efficient teaching environment to help students exhibit independent work behavior. The goal of this study is to utilize structured teaching to promote independent work behavior. Four items are used to reach the goal: card punching, job card, individual schedule, and a point reinforcement system The following are the results of the study: 1.Card punching as a structured item can help students exhibit independent work behavior. 2. The frequencies of chatting, idle behavior during work, and work errors which needs teacher’s reminders are reduced in the structured environment. 3.
