Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東師範學院 === 國民教育研究所 === 92 === The main purpose of this research is to explore out how the picture book teaching method affects the Grade 1st students’ reading motivation and behavior. We adopt quasi-experiment research method in this study. We have tried to teach the experimental group by 10 picture books for 10 weeks. Then, we do the pre-test, after-test and follow-up test on experimental group and control group separately by using the revised “ reading motivation scale” and “reading behavior scale”. We try to find out the instructing effect and procrastinating effects of picture books teaching by “One-way Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA)”. We also design some measure tables like “ teaching feedback sheet” and “ curriculum feedback sheet”, to know the more about the student’s feeling on picture books teaching. We figure out something in this study as following: 1. In this case, the picture book teaching didn’t improve the students’ reading motivation and behavior. 2. In this case, the effect on the different gender students’ reading motivation and behavior didn’t have obvious difference. 3. We observe that different gender students have different response and feedback in the class. 4. Picture book teaching can shorten the distance between the teacher and the students. 5. It helps to improve the children’s reading motivation and behavior by building up a better reading environment. Finally, we have some suggestion for teachers and future advanced study in this field based on the result of this research.
