Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 資訊教育研究所 === 92 === This study aims to improve conventional instruction by integrating internet resources into mathematical teaching at junior high school level and to investigate encountered problems, their possible solutions and meanwhile the feedback from the students in the process.
This study was an action research, so I choose one of my classes as an instructional sample. Data was collected by classroom observations, interviews, questionnaires, daily records and related documents. According to feedback from students, I continually adopt various teaching strategy and design to find a suitable pattern.
The results of the research elucidated that application of internet resources can enrich teaching, promote learning motivation and offer more diverse information for learning. But there is much improvement required at present in school computer facilities, the contents of internet resources and the ability of students still, therefore many challenges are encountered in the process. I used worksheets in every step to guide students in learning some topics, to collect data cooperatively, to discuss, and to finish the project of each subgroup, though there are some problems : (1) It is difficult to collect resources; (2) Instruction is difficult to match with the curriculum outline; (3) It were easy for students to lose learning direction while on web ; Though, the main contributions of this study are:(a) Based on the website that was developed by myself, this study finds a suitable model for integrating information technology into mathematic instruction at junior high school level. (b) Through the cooperative experience between author and the tutor of the class for online instruction, this study explores feasible patterns of integration of information technology into instruction. (c) It offers another option on improving the learning interest and efficiency. There are many difficulties that have to be overcome but with the accumulation of teaching materials on the web, the researcher not only gets self-confidence in teaching but also provides and shares available teaching materials with others, thus further promote the virtual value of internet resources.
