碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 地理學系 === 92 === This study utilizes the viewpoint of time geography to explore the life world of senior high school students, attempting to present the picture of their daily life world through their daily time-space experience. The research objects are students at Chien-Chen Senior High School in Kaohsiung City. The research methods were ： （1）Questionnaire:to find out the general and common phenomenon of senior high school students. （2）In-depth interview:to make up for the loss of positivism by adopting depth interview and to give deeper understanding of this study by using depth interview. According to the assumption of Time Geography, people tend to develop particular time-space routines and regulate their body-ballet under the time and space constraint. The mix of time-space routines and body-ballet in the social settings leads to the so-called place-ballet. By adopting this point, the research attempted to catch the time-space experience, the senses of place, and the value systems of senior high school students. This study argues that the life world of the senior high school students is restricted in space and constrainted by time. It is concluded that the factors affecting students’ daily life world are as follows: parental attitudes, interpersonal effects of peer groups, personalities,college entrance examination,the design of school curricula,and the lack of economic independence. The study,in particular,finds that college entrance examination is the major shaping force of students’ lives. In other words, under the competitive college entrance examination, the life styles of senior high school students ,the rest,movement,and encountering of students daily life are very much confined in their home, campus and the community.
