Students live in the new science and technology innovating constantly, what meaning do the behavior forms demonstrated seek representatives when new science and tech- nology as students? This research is to this topic of internet network, probe into students'' present situation of internet behavior and the psychological condition, and the relation between them. This research lies in understanding present situation of the internet psycho- logical need and internet activity type of higher grade level pupil in Kaohsiung primary school, and use to understand the relation between the two. This rese- arch adopt '' student''s internet psychological need and internet activity type ques- tionnaire of primary school '' in order to study tools, the Cronbach'' α modulus of four parts of questionnaire lies between 0.67 to 0.87, the whole questionnaire Cronbach'' α modulus is 0.91. Randomly choosed 1811 higher grade level pupils in Kaohsiung primary school in order to study samples, the main conclusion of this research is as followed: 1.The higher grade level pupils surf the internet weekly hours are most with number of people of 0~5 hours in Kaohsiung primary school. 2.The internet independent demand psychological need of the higher grade level pupils in Kaohsiung primary school the degree highest. 3.The higher grade level pupils in Kaohsiung primary school most frequently brower the internet and search the materials. 4.Nearly 50% of the accepting tested students often playing the on-line game in internet. 5.The higher grade level pupils in Kaohsiung primary school seldom post article or message in the internet. 6.The hours pupils using computers and the time surfing the internet per week positively correlated to the internet psychological need. 7.The hours of pupils using the computer and surfing the internet per week positively correlated to the asynchronous and interactive internet activity. 8.The pupil’s degree on internet psychological need positively correlated to asynchronous and interactive internet activity Based on the study findings of the above , this research proposed some suggestions on internet teaching and psychological consultation for the higher grade level primary schools.
