The telecommunication technology also becomes the driving force of information industry development. In order to keep the good quality of service, strengthen the troubleshooting capability, shorten the fault recovery time, and promote the usage efficiency of the network equipment, we develop the digital switching operation support system. In this system, the expert’s knowledge has been added to respond the heritage of technology, and the decrease of manpower. The key point of this thesis aims at the operation requirements of the digital switching system. Thus, this system is divided into four subsystems to support the functions of the operation, administration, and maintenance of the switching system. The four operation support system are depicted as follows： (1) Switching Maintenance Support System (2) Switching Total Down Support System (3) Database Search Support System (4) Circuit Pack Diagnosis Support System The digital switching operation support system has been developed completely. This system is tested in field site. We obtain a satisfactory result.
