| Summary: | 碩士 === 南華大學 === 環境管理研究所 === 92 === Recycle, reuse or refurbish automobile parts (refurbished parts will be used herein) can benefit both environment and car owners, for raw materials and money can be saved. The main purpose of this research is to investigate the barriers of using recycled or refurbished parts for both garages and car owners in Taiwan. In-depth interviews and questionnaires were applied for both factory-run and private-own garages, respectively. The results show that 24.2% of the factory-run garages have not offered the re-parts yet. And 71.6% of the car owners will not select the refurbished one when having the maintenance. The three most important hinder factors of using refurbished parts for both factory and owners were also found. For the factory, they are lack of knowledge and demand on refurbished parts, double of the quality of refurbished parts, and may cause dispute with car owners on the responsibility. And for the owners, lack of confidence on the existing warranty system, double of the quality of refurbished parts, and worry the source of the refurbished parts are the most concerned issues. It is believed that this study should be able to give some direction to the authorities when a sounder warranty system, which includes the refurbished parts, was planed. It is believied does some benefit to implement “dematerialization” spirit.
