Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 臺灣語言與語文教育研究所 === 92 === Textbooks of Taiwanese are not clear in word writing. In the compilation of Taiwanese textbooks and Taiwanese education, what is concerned mainly about Han characters and their romanization but not about word. This research concerns the form of word writing, in order to examine how words be written in the background of Taiwanese Romanization. First of all, this research found word writing is not normalized in textbooks. In order to discover how a word of close meaning be written in Taiwanese, we observed the usage of hyphen in traditional romanized Taiwanese to see the importance of hyphen in word writing. Second, this research observed other romanized texts that didn’t use hyphen in word writing. In order to see other possible norm in word writing, this research also noticed Mandarin and Hakka. This research also took the norm of word writing of Mainland China as contrast. At Last, we addressed the change of hyphen’s function. Admixture of Han character and Romanized words is main stream in Taiwanese nowadays, and the usage of hyphen changed. This research still recommends hyphen function as connection in romanized Han characters of Taiwanese textbooks.
