Effect of multimedia nursing intervention on the knowledge, attitude, behavior intention and behavior of patients with chronic renal insufficiency

碩士 === 國防醫學院 === 護理研究所 === 92 === Chronic kidney disease is the 8th ranking at 10 major mortality factors, on the recent report in 2004 by Department of Health, Taiwan. In our study, we will do research by surveying after nursing education with well-designed multimedia CD for chronic renal insufficiency patients to identify whether the effect is significant. According to the nursing intervention by multimedia interactive CD, called multimedia nursing intervention , the results reveal significant in our study including increased knowledge (p < 0.001), better attitude (p < 0.001), more correct behavior intention (p < 0.001) and more proper behavior (p = 0.0012).Our strategy is previous-test versus post-test by analysing the two different groups.Within 55 clinical patients, the experimental group of 28 patients by random selecting is given received previous-test , instant test afer multimedia nursing intervention, and post-test one month later. The control group containing 27 patients received previous-test and post-test one month later, but no instant test after multimedia nursing intervention. The well-designed multimedia interactive CD has a good acceptable rate of 82.2% for chronic renal insufficiency patients. And the wide-spreading rate (78.6%) is also high. Thus we suggest that mutilmedia nursing intervention is a good program for nurse to educate chronic renal insufficiency patients.
