For example there are more and more auction websites, such as ebay , yahoo ,etc. Because mobile device (i.e. Notebook, mobile phone and PDA ) of the wireless network are also more and more, original IPv4 address not enough. IPv4 does not accord with present network, so it need to use next generation internet protocol - IPv6. IPv6 not only can provide more IP address but also propose better solutions for some problems such as QoS, Mobile IP, security etc. The security of the handoff procedure is still discussed in IPv6 network. The most important one is the security question especially in electronic transactions. If the security problem is not solved, carry on the electronic trade in the wireless network, the completion that it certainly will be unable to make the user comfortable. This causes a bottleneck of the electronic trade. When there are more and more action devices. If it has not safe trade environments, it will influence the development and progress of the electronic trade. And in addition to security problem, the handoff procedure will incur long latency and bring packets lost. Smooth handoff can reduce packets lost but it can incur out-of-sequence packets. So far little attention has been given to the Internet Key Exchange for encryption in Mobile network. In this thesis, we probe into Internet Key Exchange in smooth handoff for IPv6 mobile network.
