Description
Summary:博士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 輔導與諮商學系 === 92 === The study of Treatment Techniques and Effects of Intensive Focal Therapy Group for Griever Shu-E Yang Abstract This study aimed to provide complicated grievers with low-structured and intensive group therapy and to explore how the therapy affected the changes of focal problems and treatment techniques. A qualitative research method was adopted. The purposive sample included seven adult females with grief of different duration, who received group therapy in four days (two weekends and two Sundays). Results based on pre-and post-treatment individual measures and detailed group observational records were analyzed. The findings are as follows. 1. Raphael’s focal therapy modal was helpful in choosing grief treatment focus. 2. The changes of group members’ grief experience seemed to process through the cycle of “re-experiencing to catharsis” and the cycle of “ mirroring to relationship repairing” alternatively. 3. Intensive focal therapy group was helpful in improving group members’ grief syndromes. When the members remove the obstacles in grief process, other grief-caused syndromes were also be eased or disappeared. 4. Action techniques (empty chair, role playing, dream play and sculpturing) were helpful for the improvement of inhibited mourning , distorted mourning as well as conflicted mourning.
