Summary: | 碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 教育研究所 === 92 === The main purpose of this study was to explore the moral values of the junior high school students in Taichung City. Data were collected in two ways. Quantitative data were collected from 692 students using the Moral Values of Junior High School Students Scale and analyzed by descriptive statistics, and one-way MANOVA. Qualitative data were collected from 22 of the 692 students using questionnaires and interviews.
The results of this study revealed that there were significant differences in the junior high school students’ moral values in relation to their gender, grade levels, and school areas. The moral development stages of students with negative moral values have arrived at Conventional Level, “Good Boy-Nice Girl” Orientation or “Self- Sacrificed Morality”. One of the most important factors influenced the moral values of those with negative ones was peer attachment.
