Summary: | 碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 工業教育與技術學系 === 92 === The main purpose of the study was to investigate the competency connotation and its importance of supply chain management professionals for the manufacturing industries in small and medium enterprises. In order to accomplish the purpose, document analysis, interviews and Delphi technique were conducted. The document analysis was conducted to verify the competency connotation of supply chain management professionals. Then four managers were interviewed. Later, based on the content of document analysis and interview, the Delphi questionnaire was developed. The Delphi technique was conducted to collect and ascertain the competency connotation of supply chain management professionals for the manufacturing industries in small and medium enterprises from twenty-one experts by means of a series of questionnaires. After finishing the Delphi survey, the collected data was analyzed through three statistical methods such as Kolmogorov-Smirnov one sample test, Kruskal-Wallis one-way analysis of variance by rank and the sign test. The results of this study are as follows:
i. What is required of supply chain management professionals comprises of five competency sections, encompassing “Planning competency” and so forth, and forty-four competency connotations, encompassing “Visionary planning competency” and so forth.
ii. Among the five competency sections for supply chain management professionals, the “Production management competency” is the most important one.
iii. Among the forty-four items of “Visionary planning competency,” the “Problem solving competency” is the most important one.
iv. Among the eight items of “Planning competency,” the “Strategy planning competency ” is the most important one.
v. Among the seven items of “Purchasing management competency,” the “Competency of coordinating with suppliers ” is the most important one.
vi. Among the seven items of “Production management competency,” the “Competency of controlling production” is the most important one.
vii. Among the eight items of “Distribution and sales management competency,” the “Competency of coordinating with customers” is the most important one.
viii. Among the fifteen items of “General affairs management competency,” the “Problem solving competency” is the most important one.
ix. About the importance of “Production equipment and tool management competency,” the opinion of chairmen and senior managers in the industry is significant to that of the professors in the academia.
