Alumina particles usually have some electrical charge in electrolyte . When electric field is applied to the electrolyte the Al2O3 particles attract on the electrode to increase the finishing effect in electrophoretic deposition .The Al2O3 particles electrophoretic deposition is used to finish electro discharge machined surface .The roughness of surface is improve from 0.52µm Ra to 68nm Ra through finishing for 10 minutes.
