The ratio between 12 and 13, is dependent upon the pH of medium and temperature.1,4-dihydrazinophthalazine 1 reacted with aldehyde, followed by an oxidative cyclization to gave 22、28 and 29. When compound 29 was treated with 31 in ethanol under reflux for 12 h, it was also complex 32 .Upon irradiation with UV light, complex 32 changed color from yellow to red.
