The five force analysis is to justify “how good is the business?” Analysis results show that the industry is migrating from a growing stage to a mature stage. The core competence is to reveal “how to play well in the business?” Analysis results show that domain knowledge (knowledge about customers’ operations), rather than information technology platform, has been identified as the core competence of the company.
