Summary: | 碩士 === 國立交通大學 === 科技管理學程碩士班 === 92 === This thesis utilizes the Industrial Portfolio Model to process the strategic analysis of Taiwan Mobile Phone Camera Module Industry. Not only is the strategic grouping analyzed, a positioning analysis and Industrial Innovation Requirements (IIRs) are also studied.
On the industrial portfolio, it was found that Taiwan’s Mobile Phone Camera Module industry is situated between the technology beginning stage and applied research, where market life cycle lies in the early stage. Hardware, software, firmware development and specialized marketing provide the high value added in the industrial value chain.
From the Spider map analysis, we can recommend that Taiwanese government participate in establishing an effective research environment, such as development platform and the market information system. Furthermore, government should actively get involved in the future technology development to expedite the industry revolution.
Moreover, Taiwanese firms should improve their own capabilities in core technology and cultivate specialized marketing personnel to facilitate the complicated industrial integration for the industry.
