TVE in Taiwan is now gradually moving form planning-directed condition to a more market-oriented approach. In the past eight years (1995~2003), the number of institute / university of technology has increased form seven to sixty-six. The growth of the TVE higher schools induced some questions such as the insufficient budget subsidy form government, the trends of decreasing number of students, and the quality of graduates to society and the school managers. To understand which point / term the school manager should notices first to plan for the future development, this research try to find out the selection factors influenced junior college graduates to choose the institute of technology. The research framework was divided into three parts: characteristics, significant persons, school marketing efforts. The result as follows: (1). Computer / internet equipment, teaching quality, curriculum arrangement, low tuition, library resources are the school characteristics get the highest average grades. (2). All graduates think that parents, classmates, friends are the most important persons influence their decision of institute selection. (3). Institute web pages and public reports are the most useful marketing tools attract graduates to get the information of the institute they have interests. (4). “Financial aid” and “teacher” factors in the school characteristics have the interaction between “major field of graduates ” and “the status of graduates”. (5). Under the influence of “major field of graduates”, business and engineering fields graduates take the “campus” factor as more important one than others field graduates do. (6). Under the influence of “the status of graduates”, 2-year junior college graduates take the “equipment” factor as more important one than 5-year junior college graduates do.
