All of the 96 participants were divided into an experimental group with 48 students ( perform walking program ) and a control group with 48 students ( do not per- form ). The walking training was held for a duration of 10 weeks, three times a week, 30 minutes each time, 100~150 steps per minute and the heartbeat above 130 for one minute. The data of health-related physical fitness examination was made before and after the walking training and run by SPSS statistic software. The α level was set at 0.5. The results of the tests were found to be the followings: 1. A ten-week of walking training had a significant difference ( p<0.5) on all health-related physical fitness elements of participants. It’s a remarkable improvement in body composition, flexibility, explosive power, and cardiovascular fitness for obese elementary school students. 2. When comparing the differences between the experimental and the control group, the results showed significant differences in body composition, flexibility, explosive power, and cardiovascular fitness. 3.After 10 weeks of walking training, the senior obese student-ts had positive perspectives towards their body appearance and ability.
