The well-designed drainage system could prevent flooding damages and ensure the sanitary and cleaning of the environment. However, the study on the management of engineers in urban drainage or sewage systems office is very few. In this paper, an empirical study on the relationship of personality traits, team operation, resource-outcome performance, and organization growth for engineers in urban drainage organizations is proposed. Based on the sample data of size 331, the statistical analysis gives the following main results: 1. Excluding “gender”, “position”, “major work property” and “work address”, the different demograghic characteristics of drainage engineers have different effect on the structural factors of personality traits and team operation. 2. Personality traits of drainage engineers have positive inference on the structural factors of team operation of drainage organization. 3. Personality traits of drainage engineers have positive inference on the structural factors of resource-outcome performance. 4. Personality traits of drainage engineers have inference only on parts of the structural factors of drainage organization growth. 5. The structural factors of team operation of drainage organization have positive effect on the structural factors of drainage organization growth. 6. The team operation of drainage organization have inference on parts of the structural factors of resource-outcome performance of drainage organization. 7.
