Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 建築學系碩博士班 === 92 === Chi-Chi earthquake arouses people to pay more attention to the seismic capacity of Monument and Historic Buildings. However, as so far, there are still less studies related to ‘Japanese wooden historic buildings’ in Taiwan, especially for seismic assessment and retroffing method. The main structural system and the earthquake -damaged phenomenon of Japanese wooden historic buildings in Taiwan are investigated by literature review and field investigation. Then, by assuming the structural model of bamboo-mud wall, and in accordance with the mechanic properties of materials, a displacement-based seismic assessment for Japanese wooden historic buildings is proposed in this study. Furthermore, two actual buildings damaged in 921 and 1022 earthquakes are assessed according to this procedure, the results show a good agreement with the actual phenomenon of earthquake damage. This study provides a procedure of seismic capacity assessment for Japanese wooden historic buildings, which can obtain the seismic capacity of the building as well as the fracture mechanism of walls under the code requirement or performance design, and determine the safety of the buildings. In order to make the seismic assessment procedure more suitable to the Japanese wooden historic buildings in Taiwan, there are more fundamental research need to be established.
