Summary: | 碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 企業管理學系碩博士班 === 92 === The article mainly discusses two objects by using secondary statistic data. The first purpose is to discuss what location factors of host countries influence Taiwan businessmen’s foreign direct investment in Mainland China and five Asean’s countries. The other one is to inquire whether Taiwan businesses’ characteristics cause the different investing ratio between investing in Mainland China and five Asean’s countries.
We set the Taiwan businessmen’s FDI in Mainland China and five Asean’s countries to be dependent variable and the location factors from many aspects of host countries to be independent variables of the first model’s setting. The research period is from 1994 to 2003, and we use panel data technique to analyse the model. According to the second research object, we set the model by using the Taiwan businessmen’s investing ratio in Mainland China and five Asean’s countries from every industry in 2003 to be dependent variable and some Taiwan businessmen’s characteristics in operation to be independent variables. We use multiple regression analysis to examine the relationship between independent and dependent variables.
Based on the consequence by regressing models, we find there are some analytic parts different between Mainland China and five Asean’s countries, for example, the effective signs of independent variables and the discrepant results between former researches and ours. We also find some new included variables are obviously influencial to the Taiwan businessmen’s FDI and investing ratio in two areas.
