碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 交通管理學系碩博士班 === 92 === 　　How to offer commodities with low price for customers is the issue hypermarket managers facing. Wal-Mart, the biggest hypermarket company in the world, makes use of efficient logistics network as well as global procurement to have low-price commodities everyday. This research makes an attempt to study logistics networks of hypermarket companies in Taiwan. 　　Single hypermarket store may have over 10,000 items of commodities with more than one-billion-dollar revenue per year. Therefore, logistics networks of hypermarkets are quite complicating. However, the scale of each hypermarket company, in terms of store number, is not too large in Taiwan. Most of hypermarkets owned by local enterprises pay less attention to their logistics networks. This research studies the patterns of logistics networks between hypermarkets owned by local and global enterprises, and makes some suggestions for local hypermarkets. 　　Furthermore, this research makes use of the facility location problem to develop a site selection model for distribution centers of a logistics network. Since different commodities have various distribution requirements, the site selection model takes this aspect into account and becomes a multicommodity facility location problem. This mathematical model is testes by a real-world case. The computational results seem promising.
