Moreover, to deal with ever-reduced delivery time and profit of products, the traditional CNC machinery-based workshops could not but trade off between machine automation, costs and quality, in order to remain high competition. In this research, the design concept of “Assembly Manufacture Machines” is proposed to improve the performances of the traditional CNC machines in manufacture, machinery cost, operation cost and the exchange-ability of rotary beds. An algorithm for evaluating production time and a cost function are developed to help compare the effectiveness for the two investments. In addition, a quality- performance algorithm is also presented to test their quality performance. Finally, an example of a manufacturer receiving an order of compound machining part is discussed, and using the methods proposed in this article, we have proven that the investment of “Assembly Manufacture Machines” will give better performance in ordering acceptability, sales ability and quicker delivery ability.
