and demand conditions changed, the KTV chain store systems in Taiwan are
confronted the situation of growth slowly and profitability decreased. Especially,
two big systems are asked higher expenses for synchronization fee and
mechanical royalty, and these systems didn’t reject due to maintaining the
system-wide image. Therefore, the performance of KTV chain store systems is
going down.
The research integrates the concepts and theoretical arguments of value
nets, value creation and appropriation, industrial structural analysis to propose
the strategic suggestion for the operation of KTV chain store systems. The
research suggested:
1. The music publisher should be corporate with the KTV chain store
system, the billing system is the key for the cooperation. To build the
trust, the billing system should be discussion by both sides.
2. The key performance index is needed for managing each store. The
capability to design the controlling mechanism and set up the key
performance index is required.
3. To encourage the performance improvement activities of each store is
needed for the performance upgrading of KTV chain store system.
4. The new business model is proposed.
