First of all, we discuss about the evolution history of the financial industry in Taiwan in order to figure out the establishment and operating charactristic of financial holding company (FHC). Also, we compare with the case of Fuban Financial Holding Co. and other financial holding company in operating strategy. Second, we adopt the SWOT analysis to simulate the best Fuban’s operating strategy. Final, for the reference of government’s policy making, we offer the solutions for the tight corner of company operation. There are five conclusions in our research: 1. If the financial institutions in Taiwan want to improve the competition, they must consolidate the resource of the subsidiary companies first. With this, they can improve the value of resource, reduce cost and create the cross selling to enhance the competition. 2. The FHC should concentrate on earning. Only keeping exploiting the active costomers, founding the new management structure and making the considerible earning are the key for FHC to be the leader in consumer banking. 3. Strengthening the cross-selling channel and using the information techology are to create the individualized service, improve the adding value of product and increase the earning. 4. Only by adjusting the structure of company and merging the high qualification financial institutions, the FHC can improve the competition in the global market. 5. Local FHC must modify the customer service and product selling model to grasp the business opportunity and make profit. The FHC which can familiar with the strength and weakness of her company, investigate financial industry tendence and have the courage to overcome the threat of business environment will be the winner in badly competitive financial industry.
