As a researcher of Chu Shan Ci , I have found the style of the work has both in gentleness and liberty. The contents of the work include the expression of emotion, description of scenes, in appreciation of objects, in honor of history etc. The study is based on the various topics of the work. By analyzing Chu Shan Ci, the author’s characters, author’s emotion, the contemporary living style and society with the author can be revealed. The First Chapter introduces the motivations of the study and presents the related studies done in previous. The Second Chapter researches into the family background of Jiang Jie. To make a complete understanding of the author and the work from observing author’s background and contemporary social values. The Third Chapter introduces the analysis of Chu Shan Ci on the basis of author’s contemporary society, writing style and the author’s three-stage writing style. The Forth Chapter presents the appreciation of the work on the basis of its skills and spirits. The Fifth Chapter discusses the rhetoric and the rhythm of the work. The Sixth Chapter concludes the success of Jiang Jie and its influence on modern society.
