In the first project, there are three rapid prototyping systems (RPS) designed and assembled in the project. They are UV resin spray rapid prototyping system (UVRS-RPS), CNC rapid prototyping system (CNC-RPS), and Micro rapid prototyping system (Micro-RPS). Two patents are obtained from above the techniques of in-house made RPS. The second project employs techniques of rapid prototyping applied in method of de-waxing casting to fabricate the rapid tooling (RT). Besides, the molding fluid dynamics is used to analyze the substantial process, pressure distribution and temperature distribution, to find out the optimal injection molding condition.
