Description
Summary:碩士 === 義守大學 === 材料科學與工程學系 === 92 === This thesis conducts the feasibility study of the optical resolution of DMCH (2, 6-dimethylcyclohexanone) by means of supercritical carbon dioxide chromatography. The effects of operating parameters on the resolution efficiency, which include the temperature, the pressure, and the flow rate of mobile phase, are examined in this thesis. The investigated temperature ranges from 40 ~ 60℃, and the pressure ranges from 13.8 ~ 34.5 MPa. Capillaries with different length were used as restrictors to create six different flow rate of carbon dioxide to investigate the effect of flow rate on the resolution. In addition, this thesis also established an empirical correlation for the Henry’s constant between the mobile phase and the solid phase. In summary, it is concluded as  The optical resolution of DMCH by supercritical carbon dioxide chromatography is feasible.  At high pressure, 20.7 MPa, the resolution efficiency increases by lowering the operating temperature. However, this trend disappears when operated at lower pressure, 13.8 MPa.  In general, lowering the operating pressure and the flow rate of carbon dioxide can increase the resolution efficiency.  The Henry’s constant of two main enantiomers of DMCH are correlated.
