We do not see any influence of the newly implement appreciation teaching on the fifth grades; secondly, there is no significant difference between the fifth and the six grades of the intelligence classes on the twelve items of the stylistic language bank section, neither is on the appreciation ability─in fact, the six grades from ordinary class show higher appreciation ability than that of students from the intelligence classes; the fifth grades from ordinary class show the lowest ability: thirdly, overall female students show better appreciation ability than male students; fourthly, subjects have higher overall impression on Monet than Van Gogh and Renoir. In sum, through the appreciation of Impressionism’s painting, this paper aims at exploring the versatile development of the visual art, hoping to attract attention to art appreciation education in the Art and Humanity curriculum.
