The important key to its flourishing development has been the participation of outstanding personnel. In the face of external competition, qualified personnel in R&D have already become the niche that enterprises depend on for existence and growth. Because the industrial circle and academia are two totally different fields, biotech research professionals will change their attitudes after transferring from academia to the industrial circle. A researcher with academic experience and background will feel perplexed when his or her values vary from the values of industrial enterprise. Combining previous research, this study intends to clarify the relationships pertaining to “organizational commitment”, “professional commitment”, and “organizational-professional conflict” for professional researchers in biotechnology enterprises. This study adopted the questionnaire survey method and obtained 900 copies of valid samples. The Pearson Correlation Analysis and the Regression Analysis were used to examine the study’s hypotheses. The findings of the study indicate that: 1. Professional tenure, the amount of specialty involvement, and identification with a professional community all have positive impact on professional commitment. As a result, researchers who devote more energy to specialties will show higher professional commitment. 2. If the purpose of an enterprise organization differs from the professional purpose of a researcher, the organizational-professional conflict will be greater. 3. There will be a higher intention of resignation if a professional biotech researcher has a high level of organizational-professional conflict. To sum up, when an organization thinks highly of professionals, the professional researchers will be able to enjoy independence and power for decision making and development of reward systems. Finally, it is appropriate for an organization to lessen the extent of organizational-professional conflict among professional researchers, so that these researchers will be willing to continue with the organization.
