《伸子》與《某個女人》中的女性形象

碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 日本語文學系 === 92 === This thesis tries to explore the problems which the women faced with（in the Meiji and Taisho Era）, through the female images in the autobiographical work“Nobuko”by Miyamoto Yuriko and a woman as the main character work“A Certain Woman”by Arishima Takeo. Nobuko and Youko could be both taking of the New Woman who didn’t comply with the ideal image of females: a husband’s good wife and son’s tender mother ’, being circulated of that time. In chapter 1 I take “Nobuko” for example to clarify the motive how Nobuko grows up in a middle-class family given gifts of nature, fallen short of her mother’s expectation to decide to marry Tsukuda who greatly differs from herself in personality, background, etc and what her expectations toward Tsukuda. At the same time, make a statement by delving into her ambivalent emotion to mother, and the actual situation of Nobuko’s marriage life with Tsukuda. Then discuss “A Certain Woman” in chapter 2. Pay attention to the description that the ‘feminine’ ‘woman’ Youko , wished she could live freely and unrestrainedly，not depend on men, but also adores and seeks the‘masculine’‘man’, then fell in love with Kurachi who has a wife. On the other hand, aim to make it clear from the following points, like Youko’s attachment toward daughter was frequently narrated, then she also cherished a hope about the future，tried to live a kind of life like ordinary husband and wife with Kurachi and her sisters, and the oppression which that era brought to women. Last from the point of view in gender, aware of the writer’s sex, take notice of their writing expression in each text, analyzed them in chapter 3.
