Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 電子工程所 === 92 === Increasing the switching frequency is the most effective way to reduce the volume of a switching mode power supply. But it would cause several problems. Hence, to have a high performance device with minimum volume is an important consideration at the design stage. This thesis presents the design procedures of high frequency and high power transformers. It includes the selection of core in order to have minimum core loss, the choice of conductor in order to reduce copper loss, and the arrangement of winding in order to reduce parasitic capacitance and leakage inductance. Furthermore, the finite element analysis package is used to analyze the electric field and thermal field distributions within the device. Finally, a prototype transformer is designed and constructed for verifying the actual performance. The comparison between simulation and experimental results is discussed.
