Blending liquid rubber into epoxy resin is a traditional toughed method, but it decreased the mechanical and thermal properties. In order to improve the properties of toughed epoxy, nanoclay and liquid rubber were blend in epoxy using modified process. The experimental instruments including XRD、AFM、SEM、MTS、DMA which analyze the morphology 、mechanical and thermal properties , respectively. It was found that nanoclay and liquid rubber blend into epoxy with specific ratio can effectively enhance tensile strength、 modulus and fracture toughness, it shows higher Tg then the epoxy only toughed with liquid rubber simultaneously.
