碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 工業工程學所 === 92 === This thesis studies the impacts of vendor selection criteria for inventory policies in a two-echelon supply chain with one supplier, two distribution centers, and two retailers. Each member of the supply chain has its own inventory policy (s, Q) or (R, S). This research integrates system dynamics and agent-based modeling techniques as a supply chain simulation model. The model is to examine the impacts on performances of supply chains owing to the different vendor selection criteria of customer, the change of demand characteristics in product life cycle, and positioning safety stock in a two-echelon supply chain. The simulation results show the inventory policy and customer’s vendor selection criteria must fit together. The research also finds that the proper inventory policy can be taken to mitigate the bullwhip effects and carrying more safety stock on retailer side is more efficient. Insights of inventory policies for supply chain are also derived from these simulation analyses.
