Summary: | 碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 工業工程學所 === 92 === Design chain collaboration involves the mechanisms to convert bottom-level customer requirements into upper-lever, detailed component design requirements in order to quick respond to the rapid changes of market needs. Such conversion, including a process to collect proper customer requirements as well as to interpret these requirements into ready-to-be-applied component design requirements, can be very complicated and time consuming because of the knowledge gaps, in terms of domain language and knowledge abstraction levels, between customers and component designers in the design chain. Human experts, who are familiar with both component design domain and customer domain, are usually used for this task. However, an automatic mechanism to replace such human experts is believed to have great advantages in terms of reducing process time and costs. In this thesis, an Expert System based approach is proposed as a solution for this problem. An example in bicycle design chain is then described in order to verify the feasibility of such system.
