Summary:碩士 === 大葉大學 === 休閒事業管理學系碩士班 === 92 === As the economy of Taiwan has been developed, the conflict between environment and economy becomes an important issue. After Chiku gives up the expectant prosperity than the industrial park may bring, the Chiku residents’ point of view toward ecological protection and the public sectors’ development plans are the two subjects discussed in this research paper. This research is based on 322 copies of questionnaire and 40 interviews with members from the public and private sectors and nonprofit organization. To analyze the data and find out the result, we apply the methods like descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, one-way ANOVA and t-test. The result of analysis is listed as follows. Economical aspect:The Chiku citizens hope that the ecotourism will not be their only choice, they hope to reestimate the possibility of establishing the industrial park as well as the establishment of a low polluted industrial area. At the same time, they expect that the ecotourism development will promote the local economy and offer opportunity of employment. Development position:If the influence on conformity fishery resources, wetland character and the residents’ expectation are taken into consideration, the citizens tend to support the development plan of industrialization. Age aspect:The 30~34 year old residents prefer the development plan of ecological protection, the 40~44 year old residents like the development plan which promote the village prosperity and satisfies their needs more. Conservation courses and subject related information:The residents who are influenced by conservation courses, subject related, oral communication and mass media keep an obviously positive attitude. Finally, the research provides advice and suggestion for the public sectors, the private sectors, nonprofit organization and future researchers.
