Summary: | 碩士 === 大葉大學 === 工業關係學系碩士班 === 92 === The Taiwan’s aborigines do not have better employment opportunities than the Han people. Although Taiwan government has deployed many employment initiatives and services for them to get jobs, it seems the unemployment rate is still high at 8-9%. These specific activities could not take on the same track with the aborigines’ working characters. Many researches show the problems are caused by the diversities of the aborigines’ work values.
The aborigines immigrate to the cities and get used to the social structural transforms. These immigrants have better chances to renew their work values which represent self-understanding, self-evaluation, self-esteem, career development and planning confidence. This helps them to like the joy of working. The attitude is the key to solve the unemployment problems. Therefore, the objective of this research is to explore the content of the city aborigines’ work values. The author compares two different clustered city aboriginal communities which are located at An-chi community, Shin-Bow village, Fan-yun siang, Chang-hu county and Hwa-tong villiage, Shi-chi town, Taipei county). The research method was using questionnaire and interviewing to collect structured data for the related policy suggestions and further employment services references.
In summary, this research collected 37 questionnaires and interviewed 13 aboriginal people. After statistics surveys and qualitative analysis, the main findings are indicating as follows.
1.The overall samples’ variances analysis of work values
reveals that there are three personal attributes (gender,
vocations and marriage) being significant between objective
values and tool values.
2.The variances analysis of work values in Chang-hu county
shows that objective values and tool values are significant
within five characteristics (gender, ages, marriage, salary
and job).
3.The variances analysis of work values in Taipei ounty
indicates that objective values and tool values are
significant within four traits (vocations, economies,
education and job).
4.The interviews could not measure the work values in deep
psychology level. There are four main findings as follows
shown.
(1) Person-situation interaction issues may affect the
performance of the work values.
(2) Renewing the traditional impressions could help them to
build up self-implementation work values.
(3) Wishing a steady job could ensure people in the aspects
of self-esteem and responsibilities.
5.The different clustered city aborigines’ work values were
affected by the social workers who involved in career
services, immigrations influences, work ethic and family
education impacts.
The research suggestions are illustrated as follows.
1.Policy: The government should review the influence factors
which affect the city aborigines’ work values, the impacts
from the job seeking events organized by the social working
groups, and the family education effects.
2.Execution: To understand the various city aborigines’
personalities and realize the diverse work values could
provide them suitable career development services. This
ensures their job seeking motivation and willing. The
performance of employment services would be better.
