Most of all, the IEEE 802.11g uses OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) modulation instead of CCK (Complementary Code Keying) used by 802.11b. This thesis compares and analyzes the performance of 802.11b and 802.11g in both throughput and coverage.
