The main purpose of this research is to understand the current situation between the perceptions and the performance of the professional role of the elementary school teachers in the grades 1-9 curricula. The study was conducted through questionnaire survey. According to literature review, ” the elementary school teachers’ perceptions and performance of the professional role questionnaire” was designed, and then 448 samples were surveyed with a ratio of 69% usable samples. After gathering the data, this study used arithmetic mean, frequency distribution, percentage, t-test, one-way ANOVA, K. Pearson product-moment correlation analysis to analyze the data. The conclusions of this study were as follows: 1.Elementary school teachers’ perceptions of professional role the degree of importance cling tend to in the grades 1-9 curricula. 2.Elementary school teachers’ performance of professional role is of a medium degree in the grades 1-9 curricula. 3.In Questionnaire, the perception of the professional role of the elementary school teachers in the grades 1-9 curricula has higher grades than the performance of theirs, and we can perceive the significant differences between them. 4.Different kinds of teacher''s background such as gender, age, teaching grade, school size have significant difference on teachers’ perceptions and performance of the professional role in the grades 1-9 curricula. 5.There were significant relationship between teachers’ perception of professional role and teachers’ performance of professional role in the grades 1-9 curricula. The main purpose of this research is to understand the current situation between the perceptions and the performance of the professional role of the elementary school teachers in the grades 1-9 curricula.
