It is an opportunity to show the competition of Taiwan through the high tech merchandises in the word trade. On the other hand, the trend of world trade is also very sensitive for Taiwanese manufacturers. There are three aspects, i.e., environmental protection, economic growth, and social equality, discussed in the sustainable development. The priority of Taiwanese photoelectric industry is to improve its economic performance. In the meanwhile, the high-tech industry should also take the responsibility of reducing environmental impacts associated with the pursuit of their economic performance. The lack of appropriate data became the major obstacle to achieve the business sustainability for Taiwanese photoelectric industry. These quantitative environmental data can be used for further assessment of environmental impacts and pollution prevention benchmarking. This is the motive of the study. This study focused on the establishment of the emission data of a STN-LCD manufacturing process through a complete inventory. The results showed that the “hot spot” of the emissions concentrated on the P/R process and etching process in the forepart as well as the cutting process in the post-part. For the consumption of resources, the studied process requires 41.72 MJ, 3.391 kg, and 4.49 kg of electricity, water, and NaOH, respectively, to produce 1 m2 of STN-LCD. The major pollution emission is from the alkaline wastewater, which contributes 0.334 m3/m2-STN-LCD. Sheng-Lung Lin 林盛隆 2004 學位論文 ; thesis 154 zh-TW |
