To improve quality and produce a higher production rate, the dynamic characteristics of the drilling process must be studied. A pre-twisted beam is used to simulate the drill. A vibration model for drilling is presented. Five exact solutions for a uniform cantilever beam in the transverse direction were used to discrete the equations of motion. By applying Galerkin’s method, the equations of motion for drill can be derived in matrix form. Besides, the experimental analysis is also considered in this article.
