Summary: | 碩士 === 中華大學 === 機械與航太工程研究所 === 92 === The behavior of engine rubber mount was examined under complex cyclic loading. The uniaxial compression-compression fatigue tests were utilized to explore the relationship between prediction parameters and fatigue life. Two commonly employed fatigue damage parameters; i.e. max. principal strain and strain energy density, were used to predict the fatigue life of the engine rubber mount.
Finite element analysis (FEA) was used to reveal the critical damage region. Nonlinear FEA of the rubber mount were performed using Ogden hyperelastic strain energy potential. The fatigue life curve of rubber mount was obtained by the max. principal strain and strain energy density from the load-controlled fatigue tests and the finite element analyses of the rubber mount.
The results showed that the max. principal strain would be the most proper parameter to predict the fatigue life of rubber mount under compression-compression loading state.
