Summary:碩士 === 中華大學 === 科技管理研究所 === 92 === Compatibility Study between Storage Assignment and Order Picking Policy in the Development of a Warehousing System Using Mining Association Rules Student: Chia-Ching Lin Advisor: Ling-Feng Hsieh Abstract In today''s fiercely competitive global market, owing to shortened product lifespan and increases in client demands, businesses are forced to emphasize investment in supply chains. Supply chain management utilizes a series of efficient methods to integrate suppliers, manufacturers, warehouses, and stores. This allows for the production of the correct amount of products, and it allows for them to be delivered to the correct places at the correct times. This is done in order to make the costs of integrated systems as low as possible under standards, which are satisfying to customers. From this it can be seen that logistics management is one part of supply chain procedures; however, warehouses are also a part of logistics management. The results of these functioning links have a decisive influence on company costs. In view of this, our objective is to acquire the highest benefits from the lowest investment costs therefore, the layout designs of warehousing operation in coordination with route planning of order picking systems, and this allows for the possibilities of increases in production efficiency, increases in utilization of space, and reductions in costs. In accordance with literature reviews and a deep empirical understanding, with the proper usage of storage assignment, minimum storage space can be used to reach the objective of minimizing total traveling distances. Furthermore, route planning can minimize principal costs for order picking, and an increase in order picking achievements can be reached within unit times. Therefore the planning for this study takes the optimum integrated planning for cross aisle warehouse layouts, storage assignments, and route planning of order picking systems. Among them, ABC access frequency was employed first in order to grade and classify in the storage assignment section. Next the Apriori algorithm 【21】was utilized in order to analyze the strength of associations between products. An attempt is made to apply the degree of associate strength to from the basis for storage assignments. At the same time, it is crucial to consider the minimization of total traveling distances in order to select which of the order picking policy would be utilized. Hopefully this takes a step ahead in promoting achievements in order picking system. Finally, this study plans to use eM-plant software to carry out simulation analysis. Data collection was carried out using the principal order picking distances index. It was anticipated that the best integrated planning could be done for cross aisle layouts, storage assignment, and route planning of order picking systems.
