Description
Summary:碩士 === 長庚大學 === 電機工程研究所 === 92 === In recent years, the platform-based SoC design approach has become more and more popular because it has the advantages of saving design effort, design cost, and reducing the time to market. The platform-based approach also expands the number of design options that can be explored, and offers a tradeoff between software and hardware implementation of functions. The embedded processor plays an important role in a platform-based SoC. The ARM processor cores are widely used in high-performance low-power and low-cost embedded application. In this thesis, we discussed the design of an 32-bit embedded processor, SP-A. SP-A is an superscalar processor that compatible with the ARMv4 instruction set and supporting parallel issue of two instructions.
