It is suitable the requirement of many portable devices. Therefore, it is expected to become a universal short distance wireless technique in the world. Then, a growing number of portable devices such as Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), Pocket PC, Cellular Phone and Notebook are applied to communicate with each other by Bluetooth technology. The characteristic non-direction of Bluetooth technique is in place of traditional infrared ray transmission. Obviously, Bluetooth more and more blends into people life. In this thesis an application software system using Bluetooth USB dongle is implemented. The data transmission is provided between two computers with Bluetooth technology. Furthermore, the file transfer profile (FTP) and synchronization profile (SYP) are implemented in this thesis. The FTP provides a file manage window and the client can manipulate the file or folder in server such as “Delete File”, “Upload File”, “Download File”, “Create New Folder” and “Browsing Folder”. The SYP provides a simple method to update the Personal Information rapidly. It makes manage an address book more easily. The final goal of this thesis is to develop a multi-function Bluetooth application system. Then, PCs at home are interoperability between other portable devices with Bluetooth technology.
