The understanding and recognition of the shared idea impacts every activity in the organization. Therefore, the organizational culture gradually becomes the key factor to achieve a good performance. Lots of academic papers support this point of view. But most of papers emphasis on the relationship between the content of organizational culture and the organization performance. This research focuses on the intensity of the organization culture.   The competition in the banking industry increases too much in the short term, however, the variety of the services banks provide did not expand. Keen competition causes some of the bankers to lower the criteria to grant credits to customers in order to strive for service, thus increase the possibility of Non-performance Loans occurs. Therefore we need to consider whether Non-performance Loans would corrode the value of the bank or not.   The banking industry is in the extreme competing environment nowadays, how should banks prompt its management achievements is a hot topic. Traditionally bank performance was valued by accounting methodology, however, this research picksthe emerging financial norms - Economic Value Added and the Cash value Added to measure bank performance. This research discusses the relationship among the organization culture intensity, Non-performance Loans and operations performance of the domestic public banks.   The objective of this essay will be as following: 1. The discussion whether the intensity of the organization culture affects the Economic Value Added and Cash value Added of the banks. 2. The discussion whether Non-performance Loans affect the Economic Value Added and Cash value Added of the banks. 3. The discussion the degree of the relations among the organization culture, non-performance Loans, and the operations performance of the banks.   This research uses the Simple T-test and the regression analysis to study the relations among the intensity of the organization culture, Non-performance Loans, and the economy of attachment value and cash attachment value. The research period is from 1998 to 2002, and the research objects are the 33 domestic public banks in Taiwan. The material used in this research is mainly from Taiwan Economics Journal database, and the banks’ public annual report.  The result of this study as follows: 1. The intensity of the organization culture has significant  impact on the performance(EVA or CVA) in the banking industry. 2. Non-performance Loans have significant impact on the performance(EVA or CVA) in the banking industry. 3. The variables of cultural intensity can increase the explanation ability in the relationship between Non-performance Loans and the performance (EVA or CVA).
